Here's a checklist (you may want to print it) of things to consider bringing or doing before leaving home to have a great vacation at the Litchfield Beaches: (email us with anything you think of that we didn't)
- Sheets, pillow cases (if you are not renting them from us)
- Bath towels, hand towels, face cloths (if not renting)
- Arrange to rent, in advance, cribs, highchairs, cots, bikes
- Staples you would rather not buy here (salt, pepper, flour)
- Bath soap, shampoo
- Have newspapers, mail picked up by neighbor
- Make reservations for pet at the vet (or with pet sitter)
- Toilet tissue, paper towels
- Camera, film (Win $250 in our photo contest)
- Beach towels
- Condiments
- Medications
- Leave rental unit phone number with relatives, friends
- Some good things to read
- Beach chairs
- Toys
- Dishwashing detergent (or buy it here, or better yet, eat out)
- Laundry detergent
- Wraps, foils
- Cleaning compounds
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, sunburn lotions
- Travelers checks or cash
- Umbrella (so it won't rain)
- Portable radio or CD player for beach music
- Running or walking shoes for the eight-mile beach
